The Journey of Gianna
Meet the Artist
I grew up in Stellenbosch, South Africa, surrounded by stunning mountains and vineyards but moved to Scotland which is also strikingly beautiful.
I enjoy using colour in my work and often contrast light with shadows. The colours, shades and forms around me are continually an inspiration for my work. I mainly work in acrylic and ink.

I have painted a range of subjects over the years, but my more recent work includes seascapes, landscapes and anything that grabs my attention. I have recently started sketching in ink and acrylic and am so enjoying exploring the medium!

It makes me smile to know some of my artworks have been shipped overseas and hopefully continue to bring joy to their buyers in France, Netherlands and Australia amongst others.

Please send me a message if you are interested in any of the artworks (original or print) or would like to commission an artwork. I am more than happy to take on commissions!
Artistry
I am inspired by the stunning scenery (light, colours, details and textures) around me and aim to capture some of that 'beautiful' in my art. I love to show the wonder of light in my artworks and also enjoy adding splashes of colour.
When painting, I use paintbrushes, painting knives and predominantly work on hardboard which allows for interesting textures.
